We are all obviously hoping for a good summer this year, especially after the washout that we were faced with last year. I am dying to get out into the garden and spend long lazy evenings on the patio having barbecues. We have already had a good hot spell a couple of weeks ago and it was then that I bought my
Teak Garden Furniture. I had been wanting a new table and chairs for the garden for a long time and had been looking for a suitable set for some time. When I saw that
Teak Garden Furniture was on special offer at the local hardware shop I raced down there to see what it was like. There were lots of different styles of
Teak Garden Furniture to choose from and all of it was a very reasonable price. I chose a table and chair set for six people together with a parasol to shield the sun and spent practically the whole week of the hot spell sitting at it having friends over to throw some sausages on the grill. I am really excited about the prospect of a long hot summer where I can take full advantage of my lovely new furniture and the patio and garden and spending most of my time outside.

Feng shui is a group of ideas, methodologies and techniques that supposedly bring harmony between nature and synthetic materials. Basically, it is an old Chinese tradition that has become more than a myth. In fact, it has become deeply entrenched in modern lifestyle of not just Chinese but also many western people. Feng Shui developed thousands of years ago in little villages of the Orient. It was called Folk Feng Shui because each village had its own guidelines on how to use it. Their livelihoods were dependent on it. They studied the formations of the land and ways of the wind & water to determine the best sitting for their survival. Over time Feng Shui developed and was used by emperors to ensure their success. The original Feng Shui consultant was hired by a Chinese emperor to wage war. It is said that the feng shui consultant had the power to manipulate the wind, water and fog to help the outcome of battles. Folk Lore has it that the Emperor was fearful that he would use his skills against him, so he ordered the Feng Shui consultant put to death. Many Feng Shui consultants went into hiding in Buddhist Monasteries in fear for their lives. Many Monks were trained in Feng Shui. This is why today there is a Buddhist School of Feng Shui. This is the origin of Feng Shui and what is called the School of Feng Shui. It addresses the energies of the roads, rivers, mountains and placement of structures in relationship to them. Its premises are based upon the forces of mother nature. Typically in modern times, a feng shui consultant is a person who is well versed in the art and philosophy of feng shui, and can guide people in utilizing these principles in their lives. A feng shui consultant can be hired through any of the feng shui schools that have very deep and old roots. In some parts of China and even in Europe, a feng shui consultant is considered to be more important than a structural engineer.
